Rookie Spotlight: Andrew Bianchini



MINNEAPOLIS, Minn–Andrew Bianchini played for Jefferson High school where he was selected team captain. His senior year he was selected as 1st team all section and 1st team all conference. Andrew played midfield and attack for the Jaguars and was selected as the team’s “Mr.Playmaker” with 17 goals and 2 assists his senior year. Andrew also played Team Minnesota during the summer.

Bianchini is the son of Melissa and Greg. His father, Greg, played football for Rosemount. His brother, Tyler played lacrosse at Duluth (2014-2017) as a midfielder and is graduating this year with a CPA in accounting. His sister Karli is planning to attend a trade school in February.


What led you to decide attending Minnesota?

It’s close to home, and I wanted to play lacrosse without a NCAA commitment

What do you plan on majoring/studying?

Architecture. It is fun and interesting.

What are you most looking forward to this season?

Getting a close-knit team bond

Batman

Europe, somewhere that they still speak english
