Minnesota Starts 2020 Season with a 3-Game-Weekend

The Men’s Lacrosse team at the University of Minnesota is kicking off its 2020 season with three games this weekend. In 2019, the team earned a trip to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division I Tournament in Salt Lake Trip for the first time in 14 years.
With many returning upper class men and a strong freshman class, the team has its site set on having another strong year. The team is currently ranked #20 in the (MCLA) Division 1 Pre-Season Poll.
Friday Game
The first game this weekend is Friday, February 7, against the in-town rival the University of St. Thomas. The Tommies are currently ranked #1 in the MCLA Division 2 Pre-Season Poll. Last year, they finished the season by winning the National Championship. The game starts at 10:15 p.m. at the Dundas Dome near Northfield, MN.
Saturday Game
The second game this weekend is Saturday, February 8, against long-time rival the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The Bulldogs are currently ranked #3 in the MCLA Division 2 Pre-Season Poll. The game starts at 1:45 p.m. at the STMA Dome, St. Michael/Albertville, MN.
Sunday Game
The final game this weekend is against another in-state rival, the University of St. John’s on Sunday, February 9. The Johnnies are currently ranked #7 in the MCLA Division 2 Pre-Season Poll. The game will be held on the St. John’s campus in the Gagliardi Dome starting at 11:30 a.m.
